PALMYRA TOWNSHIP – WAYNE COUNTY FEBRUARY 1, 2016
Chairman Steffen called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Roll call of the Supervisors showed that Chairman Steffen, Supervisor Hamby and Supervisor Kmetz were present.
Supervisor Hamby made a motion to accept the previous month’s minutes as written with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Ms. Powderly and is on file as well as posted on the back wall. Chairman Steffen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report with a second by Supervisor Kmetz and all Supervisors voting yes.
The bills were read and are on file as well as posted on the back wall. Chairman Steffen made a motion to pay the bills with a second by Supervisor Hamby and all Supervisors voting yes.
Auditor’s Report was given by Chairman Van Orden and is on file. The hourly rate for working Supervisors will be $19.00 per hour and health benefits will remain the same at $400.00 quarterly.
Police Report - None.
Fire Report was given by Scott Mead and is on file.
Ambulance Report - None
Road Report was given by Road Master Kmetz and is on file.
Correspondence The Township received its normal brochures, pamphlets, newsletters and magazines which are posted on the back wall. The Township received the Annual Report from Storb Environmental pertaining to the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Act to notify local municipalities that Pocono Oil & Heat has a 20,000 gallon tank of No. 2 fuel oil, a 10,000 gallon tank of kerosene and a 1,000 gallon tank of low sulphur diesel.
The Township received the Hawley Area Authority minutes.
Zoning Report was given by Dennis Mynarski and is on file. He stated that the CO was received for the Homes for Heroes and the resident is in the process of moving in.
Planning Commission Mr. Mynarski stated that the Planning Commission had their reorganizational meeting and Mr. Kmetz was appointed as a member.
Public Comment None Emergency Management Report Supervisor Hamby stated there was nothing to report.
Crime Watch Supervisor Kmetz stated there was nothing to report.
Solicitor’s Report Supervisor Kmetz informed the Solicitor that he hadn’t been able to read all the information on the bonding of roads but he would be up to speed by next month.
